What a Fantastic 20th Reunion! The 88ers celebrated the big 2-0 with a bang during GHS Homecoming weekend in October. We had our biggest turnout ever of over 70 for the "I Love the 80s Weekend"! Judging from all the smiles and laughs (and maybe a hangover or two), I think everyone had a great time! Friday night's tailgate was outstanding! Thanks to Bill for supervising "the controlled fire" of burgers! And thanks to Chad, Tony and Vicki for taking care of the tailgating! Friday was a great chance to get to see so many of our classmates, families, other classes, faculty and people in the community. And we even got a commanding tiger cub victory! Post-game at the bowling alley was a blast. Some fine - and not so fine - displays on the lanes (cough, cough)! Good times, good times! Saturday's party at the Elks went by too fast! Even though we were there for over five hours, I still didn't have enough time to talk with everyone! That's what I heard from a lot of people too ~ which is a great sign of success! We even had a Class of 1989 crasher, which I thought was hysterical! Thank you for bringing back lots of memories with the video, Charlene. If anyone would like a copy of the video, please send a $5 check to Vicki Lawson, First Financial Bank, PO Box 876, 46135 and she'll get one out to you! Great job! The 80s tunes were awesome (thanks, Tracy!) ... Charlene, Ray and Ramona Rice along with Lisa and Mike Chadd kept the dance floor rockin'!! And I still can't get over the fact that Kent can still do "the worm"! Great times, great times! And a final thank you to everyone who was a part of the weekend. With busy schedules, it's tough for everyone ... so thanks for everyone's effort to make this a great reunion. The distance award goes to Watts ... all the way from San Diego! We also had Kristy and Hudkins from Florida, Keith from Colorado and Sherith from Maine! An additional shout-out to all the spouses and guests who attended the weekend! Great to get to meet everyone, and thanks for putting up with us 88ers!! Sorry to those that weren't able to make it work - I know some of you really tried hard! You were missed and hope to see you soon!

And thanks once again to Vicki! She actually kept me on budget for the first time ever. Miss Bank VP took care of all the details, boosted our attendence tremendously and made a flawless weekend! I'm going to miss our weekly emails, Vicki. When can we start planning the 25th!? : )
So thanks to such a great class for such a great weekend! Oh - and Chad had a really smart idea. Let's just announce that the 25th will be at GHS Homecoming weekend again in 2013 (gasp!) so everyone knows now. There, done. However ... anyone up for a mini-reunion at next years Homecoming?? I had too much fun and can't wait five years!
